The Anglican Parish of Groot Drakenstein has grown to include four Chapels and two outstations in the last 100 years. Each of these chaples and stations has a unique and living culture of its own. The parish has at this stage one fulltime priest - the rector Fr Gavin Mitchell.
These chapels are:
ST GILES - This community worships in a beautiful stone church in the village of Lanquedoc. It is the oldest of the chapels and is closely linked with St Georges through the common linkage with the growing fruit industry in the Dwars River Valley.
St John’s - This is the Anglican community in the Kylemore Valley, closest part of the parish the the town of Stellenbosch.
St Simon’s - This church serves a community centered on the district called Simondium, approximately 5 Km from the parish church St Georges.
